New York, New York – November 15, 2012 – Manhattan Edit Workshop (MEWShop), the cutting-edge authorized digital training destination for post-production and content creators, will be hosting an Art of Visual Effects event with mocha Pro and eyeon Fusion this December. The free event, to be held on Wednesday December 5th, will begin with a meet and greet over refreshments, to be followed by demos of mocha Pro and eyeon Fusion.
Ross Shain, the CMO of Imagineer Systems, will kick the presentations off with a demo of mocha Pro and its motion tracking and visual effects capabilities. The award-winning planar tracking software developed by Imagineer Systems, mocha Pro combines advanced tools for roto, planar tracking, object removal and 3D camera solve into a single desktop application, standing alone as the "Swiss army knife" of the post-production and visual effects industry. Shain will present real world examples of how artists and editors can incorporate mocha Pro into their workflow for advanced finishing techniques, such as cleaning up footage and creating roto-masks with less manual key-frames. mocha Pro integrates with industry-popular compositing, editing and animation applications such as After Effects, Avid, Final Cut, Nuke, Fusion, Autodesk and many more. Widely used by visual effects artists and animators worldwide, mocha Pro has made its mark on Hollywood films such as Alice in Wonderland, X-Men, Black Swan and the Harry Potter series.
Following Shain’s presentation will be Jeff Krebs from eyeon Fusion. Krebs, the Director of Sales for eyeon Software, will be presenting Connection 1.5 with Fusion 6.4. Connection’s AVX2 architecture is a brilliant round-trip link between Avid’s editing product lineup and eyeon’s advanced node-based visual effects environment. Krebs will also be presenting solutions with Connection that provide a unique approach to effects and editing procedures which solve problems that editors face during their daily editing sessions. The freedom of working in Fusion nodes is just one part of this exciting presentation. Attendees will also experience Fusion’s true 3D workspace that supports real depth, shading and lighting. This is where eyeon takes visual effects to the next level, far beyond layers.
