Manhattan Edit Workshop is Hosting TECH TALKS. For this Tech Talk we have partnered with Artjail, a VFX studio. Come join us for an evening of talking tech and learn how Presenter Steve Mottershead, Creative Director / Lead Flame Artist and Owner at Artjail masterfully utilizes various post-production techniques using Autodesk Flame with the HPZ820 powered by Intel® Xeon® processors to complement and enhance what was captured in camera to achieve the most photo-real results. See many before-and-after examples including non-traditional color grading techniques, VFX and CG elements to produce the most stunning commercials, feature films, and video art projects.

About the Presenter:
Steve Mottershead, originally from Canada, is an award winning, director and VFX artist. He is dedicated to pushing the envelope of technology and creativity in both his fields. With his background in fine art and film, Steve brings a unique critical eye to all of his projects. Steve attended the Media Arts Film Program at Sheridan College in Oakville, Canada, as well as a joint program in Fine Arts at McMaster University and Dundas Valley School of Arts.
As a Lead Flame Artist and Creative Director he has worked on such clients as Nike, Ford, Fedex, Molson, Levi's, Motorola, Nissan, Coca-Cola, Marco Brambilla Studios, Lincoln, Jaguar, Cadillac, Mitsubishi, Kanye West, NHL, Honda & Lexus. Steve has played a lead role on many award winning projects that include Cannes Lions, an Academy Award nominated documentary, HPA Awards, MTV video awards, AICE awards to name a few.
Having a production and VFX background has helped elevate Steve to become a true creative yet technical partner with some of the top agencies, production companies and directors alike.
He currently lives in Brooklyn where he is Creative Director / Lead Flame Artist and Owner at Artjail.
