Post-production educators Manhattan Edit Workshop (MEWShop) will be offering FREE hands-on NLE application training at this years National Association of Broadcasters conference.
As recently announced in AVID’s user forum, Manhattan Edit Workshop’s mobile unit (MEWShop Edit House) will be hosting free workshops on the 2012 NAB show floor. Attendees can preregister on the MEW site to attend sessions that cover the following post-production applications:
- Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Apple Final Cut Pro
- Avid Media Composer
- Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve
Topics covered will include “workflows including multi-camera productions, DSLR shoots, Stereoscopic 3D, color grading and visual effects creation.”
These workshops appear to be a natural extension of the software intensive training sessions that MEWShop provides full-time in their home NYC location. Individuals that attend these NAB workshops will also qualify for a discount on those full sessions. This seems like an excellent opportunity to pick up some tips as well as make some connections with other editors and content makers actively involved in the industry. Find the MEWShop booth on the tradeshow floor, #SL12805. You can get first dibs on attending the training workshop of your choice by registering over at the MEWShop site.
In conjunction with this offer, MEWShop also is offering free tradeshow floor passes by using VIP code LV3539 when registering for NAB.
