New York, New York – October 16, 2012 – Manhattan Edit Workshop (MEWShop), the cutting-edge authorized digital training destination for post-production and content creators, will be hosting two Boris FX events this fall: a product demo lead by Boris FX Senior Product Manager Peter McAuley on October 24th and an Avid FX workshop lead by Avid Certified Instructor Tibor Spiegel on November 10th.
Now bundled free with Avid Media Composer 6 and Symphony 6, Avid FX is an indispensable tool for post-production and broadcast professionals, offering a wide range of features right on the Avid timeline and as a standalone engine for effects creation and rendering. In the one-day workshop taught by Tibor Spiegel, students will gain a thorough understanding of the Avid FX interface as well as learn how to create masks and shapes, and generate 3D vector-based titles and graphics. During the Boris FX demo with Peter McAuley, attendees will get an in-depth look at how this tool is used in the real world for 3D compositing, titling, effects and transitions as the industry’s most comprehensive image processing filter suite.
Boris Continuum Complete v8 AVX gives Avid editors the most comprehensive VFX and compositing plug-in suite ever created. A whopping 200+ filters include Extruded Text, 3D particle effects, image restoration tools, lens flares and lights, award-winning chroma keying and compositing, a full suite of color correction tools, time-based effects, blurs, glows, and cinematic effects. Over 1,000 professionally designed presets are included free with every installation of BCC. In addition to exploring the many filters and features in BCC during the demo with McAuley, attendees will learn how to save and freely share their own presets and build customized preset collections tuned to the specific needs of a project.
