JANET DALTON 

Janet is a freelance editor who has been in the film and video world for over 15 years. She first became interested in film while studying audio engineering at The New School. Since then she has edited for PBS, MTV, CNBC, and Link TV.

She has been an Avid certified instructor for over 10 years and teaches both the introductory as well as advanced edit and effects classes. She is also one of just a handful of instructors who teach Avid's high end HD edit systems, the DS Nitris. She has taught editing classes at NYU, Columbia, SVA as well as taught industry professionals on-site at CBS, NBC and Fox. Her work is primarily short format though she is currently working on a feature length documentary.  Janet is also an Adobe Premiere Pro & Apple Final Cut Pro certified instructor.

Frank Herold

Frank Herold is a professional video editor and certified Avid and Blackmagic Instructor.  He was the owner of VideoWorks, a full service video production company located in New York City. Since 2009, Frank and his wife have been teaching "Broadcast News and Video Production", as a summer course at Anglo American University in Prague, CZ. Frank has also been a consultant and editor for Drew University's Career Center in Madison, New Jersey. Frank has worked with most major advertising agencies producing and editing hundreds of commercials. He has also edited long form programs and received an Emmy nomination for his work.  As a working owner he has always found it more cost effective and rewarding to promote from within and as a result has trained numerous young people in the art of video editing. Many of these people have become highly regarded in the video community.

Tibor Spiegel

Tibor is originally from Yugoslavia where after receiving a BA in Composition and Conducting he worked as a staff composer for RTV NoviSad. Since immigrating to the US, he has earned two Masters Degrees from Montclair University, NJ in Music Composition and Communication Broadcasting. He also holds a mini-MBA from Rutgers University, NJ. Tibor is certified in all levels of AVID Media Composer and Newscutter. Since 1999 he trained staff of all major US broadcast networks and cable channels; students and staff of NYU and Columbia University; staff of Lockheed Martin and NASA; all five branches of the US military; members of Secret Service, FBI, CIA, Embassy in Baghdad and the royal videographer of QATAR.  Tibor is also an Adobe Premiere Pro certified instructor.

For ten years he has also served as adjunct lecturer for CUNY and has contributed documentaries for DUNA TV-Budapest. Tibor has published articles in Hungarian, Serbo-Croatian and English. Currently he is a fully accredited US correspondent for Magyar Szo, a Hungarian daily published in Serbia. During his last F/T position as Executive Director of CTV, Staten Island's Community Access TV, he designed and implemented a 1.8 million USD move from analog to digital and sponsored the 2005 Guiness World Record longest TV talk show (33 hrs non stop) marathon featuring Frank Morano, producer of the WABC radio Curtis Sliwa show.

Tibor’s featurette Overnite Shift was presented at the 2009 Cannes Festival. (He also trademarked Overnite Shift as a T-shirt brand.) He recently finished a book “Amerikai vagyok” (I’m American) - collection of essays and interviews in Hungarian - and is recording his second CD of original music.
