Artists in Residence

The Artist-in-Residence Program is a core component of Manhattan Edit Workshop's Six Week Art of Editing Course. Top film editors join the class to screen and discuss their work, while students share their edits for comments and critique.

Kate Sanford

Kate Sanford is a seasoned feature film and series television editor. The movie O was Kate's second collaboration with filmmaker Tim Blake Nelson, for whom she also edited Eye of God, which screened in competition at the 1997 Sundance Film Festival. Another longtime collaboration has been with Michael Corrente, who directed Outside Providence, Brooklyn Rules and American Buffalo, starring Dustin Hoffman and Dennis Franz. Sanford's recent work includes Management with Jennifer Aniston and the acclaimed HBO series The Wire.
